MILK STORAGE TANK

For the purposes of another investment, which was implemented in Slovakia, we manufactured, delivered and assembled a stainless steel storage tank with a nominal capacity of 135 m3. It is a double-walled tank, intended to be placed outside the plant building. Standardized milk will be stored in the tank.

The height of the tank is almost 17 meters and its diameter is almost 4 meters. Due to its dimensions, the tank was transported at night, in a special transport escorted by the pilot.

A side stirrer with a drive and special stationary and rotating cleaning heads were installed in the storage tank.

In addition, the tank was equipped with a ladder with a protective cage and a platform to allow access to the upper lid. Access to the lower part is possible thanks to a special inspection door located at the bottom of the tank.

The assembly of the tank was not easy. First, we had to disassemble the existing tank. Then, we assembled a new tank in its place. Finally, our task was to connect the tank to the existing loading and unloading installation and the CIP cleaning installation. All this within 48 hours. This is how long the plant shutdown could last. So there could be no errors during assembly.

Additionally, work was in the sanitary regime caused by the COVID-19 virus, which was another difficulty. Fortunately, as a manufacturer of tanks and devices for the dairy industry, we have experience in such projects. In addition, the cooperation between the services carrying out the investment on the part of the Ordering Party and the management and employees on our part allowed for the efficient and non-conflicting execution of the order.
